3 amigos was born in Guatemala in 2002. At that time we were known as ‘Producciones RAD’. In our pursuit for new challenges, we have relocated to Wellington New Zealand, and rebranded ourselves 3 amigos productions.

The partnership began when the Nicaraguan Xochitl Gazol and the New Zealander Rich Dunmore started building web sties together. After some local success in web design the 2 amigos combined a mutual love of film and animation to start creating video and animations. The 2 amigos worked on projects with other indie filmmakers in Guatemala.

In 2004 we had decided, with enough experience, to produce our own cartoon for TV. We added Cuban Jonathan Bermúdez to the creative team to score and mix for our production Orale! To accomplish this Jonathan built a professional home recording studio

And we are 3 amigos productions.

Rich Dunmore
Rich is a New Zealander who has been residing in Guatemala for 8 years. Rich is now back working in Wellington! Rich spent the 1990’s as a techie and project manager in the IT & telecoms industry working in New Zealand, Australia and the UK.

Rich then managed to get ensnared in Antigua Guatemala while backpacking thru Central America in 2001. It was here that he formed 3 amigos with Xochitl.

  
     
             
 
 
 

Xochitl Gazol
Its university formation is in the field of the graphical design, began its professional race in the cybernetic world designing pages Web for different companies in Guatemala, Ireland, England, States united among others. Their relative by marriage by the illustration more and more took it to participate in audio-visual projects making storyboards, correction of color, image and animation. She has been the director of art for several projects of animation, being I complete “the Adventures of Junajpu' and Moon”.

 
     
   
   

Jonathan Bermúdez
Engineer of sound.
Jonathan resident Cuban Bermúdez in Guatemala for 9 years. It has been working in the average musical comedy for 15 years becoming jumbled like producer and musician in several discs of Cuban, Guatemalan and European musicians.
